 IRB Awards newsfeeds and highlights packages
The IRB Awards 2008 in association with Emirates Airline take place at Old Billingsgate in London on November 23

The International Rugby Board has announced details of the newsfeed and highlights packages available to broadcasters wishing to cover the prestigious IRB Awards 2008 in association with Emirates Airline.

The glittering ceremony – the premiere awards event on the global Rugby calendar –  features the coveted IRB Player, Coach and Team of the Year awards and this year is being hosted by Steve Rider in the magnificent Old Billingsgate venue in the heart of London on Sunday, November 23.

Broadcasters can access a range of packages:

10-15mins Newsfeed package: to include footage of the award winners.
Available at BT Tower, a European and American satellite on Monday, November 24 at 02:00 GMT.

5 min New Media package: A ready to go fully edited and voiced Video News Release. Available by FTP in the following file formats: 1) H.264 MP4 ; 2) WMV ; 3) FLV (Flash). Each at screen size 640 x 480 and 320 x 240, and bitrate 512Kbits/sec, 1Mbit/sec and 2Mbit sec. Available: Monday, November 24 at 03:00 GMT.

1 x 26 min Highlights Programme: A fully edited programme capturing the atmosphere and all the winners from the night. Available in 16:9 (4:3 safe) with English commentary on Monday, November 24 at 22:00 GMT. French and Spanish commentary can be provided (delivery of these will be the following day).

The full list of winners will be announced via a press release at 23:00 GMT on Sunday night and through the IRB’s website www.irb.com.

Rights-free audio interviews with the winners will also be available to download from www.irb.com on the night.
