Tickets to the IRB Junior World Championship in Italy will start at just €5 after the International Rugby Board and the Federazione Italiana Rugby (FIR) announced details of a ticketing programme aimed at introducing more people to the sport.

The future stars of Rugby will compete in the world’s premier Age Grade tournament in the cities of Padova, Treviso and Rovigo from June 10 to 26 with fans able to access a ticketing programme centred on venue passes for each host venue.

Tickets will go on sale from Wednesday, April 13 through www.listicket.it and www.ticketone.it. Further information can be found at the official tournament website - www.irb.com/jwc - in both English and Italian.

With exciting double header fixtures scheduled in each stadia on the five match days, venue passes will give fans an opportunity to attend 10 high-level international matches at a cost of between €20 and €80, including the Junior World Championship Final on June 26.

Individual tickets will allow the holder to attend both matches on their chosen day in the same venue and will be priced between €5 and €25. Tickets for the IRB Junior World Championship Final and third place play-off in Padova on match day five will be competitively priced, starting at just €5.

IRB Chairman Bernard Lapasset said: "Rugby is growing all around the world and the IRB Junior World Championship plays a central role in interacting with Rugby communities, schools and new fans. Through an attractive and affordable ticketing policy we hope that the 2011 tournament will reach out and attract more men, women and children to the Italian Rugby family.”

“I am sure that it will be an exceptional, well-attended tournament. Planning and preparation is on track, the venues are superb, the facilities first class and the enthusiasm is certainly palpable throughout the Veneto region. I have no doubt that this tournament will be a wonderful event for all who attend.”

FIR President Giancarlo Dondi said: "The IRB Junior World Championship is not only a major international tournament, but also represents a wonderful opportunity to promote the Game in Italy, where Rugby is experiencing exciting development.”

“This is the reason behind a very attractive ticketing policy aimed at growing our family. Padova, Treviso and Rovigo will be hosting the future stars of Rugby. It will be an amazing Rugby festival and the people of Veneto are already embracing what promises to be a special event.”
