Hungary have climbed one place to 67th in the latest IRB World Rankings after beating Austria 22-16 in their European Nations Cup Division 2C encounter in Budapest on Saturday.
With Hungary ranked 19 places above their visitors going into the match, the victory has only improved their rating by just over two tenths, still enough to lift them above Niue and to within touching distance of China and Guyana above them.
Austria's defeat means they slide three places to 90th with Tahiti, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Bulgaria all rising one spot as a result.
Meanwhile in the weekend's other fixture in Division 2C, the honours were shared in the 'Clash of the Vikings' with Norway and Denmark drawing 14-14 at the Bislett Stadium in Oslo.
Denmark, the higher ranked side at 71st, had led 8-3 at half time but Norway fought back on home soil and it was only a last minute penalty by full back Andy Grantham that secured the draw for the visitors.
The draw has had minimal impact on the IRB World Rankings with both sides remaining 71st and 82nd respectively, Denmark losing four hundredths and Norway gaining the same.
