Andorra rise as Serbia fall in rankings

Andorra resumed their European Nations Cup 2012 campaign with a 42-25 victory over Serbia on Saturday, a result which sees them climb one place to 56th in the latest IRB World Rankings and remain top of the Division 2B standings.

The victory on home soil in Andorra La Vella lifts them above Malaysia – and to within a tenth of Senegal in 55th – in the IRB World Rankings and into their highest position since December 2005.

Serbia’s second defeat in their three Division 2B matches to date leaves them at the foot of the standings and results in a six-place fall in the latest rankings to 70th with Guyana, China, Switzerland, Denmark, Niue Islands and Cayman Islands all rising one as a result.
