Romania remain 18th in world rankings
Romania fans had cause to celebrate with an 11-try haul against Ukraine

Romania may have run in 11 tries in an emphatic 71-0 victory over Ukraine in their rearranged European Nations Cup encounter, but it has had no impact on the latest IRB World Rankings.

The Oaks remain 18th, trailing USA by 1.82 rating points and sitting only 1.24 points above Spain after losing to the latter in the European Nations Cup Division 1A last month.

There was no change because Romania are ranked 11 places and 9.86 rating points above their visitors to the Stadionul National Arcul de Triumf in Bucharest on Saturday.

Captain Mihai Macovei (2), debutant Mihai Rosca (2), full back Ionut Niacsu, wing Madalin Lemnaru, debutants Marius Danila, Marian Gorcioaia and replacement Eugen Capatana, along with Casba Gal all touched down in Romania's win.
