What are the IRB's strategies for development? In terms of education and training the IRB has the following strategies:- Provide best practise Train the Trainer programmes
- Provide appropriate and relevant game analysis research
- Hold a Conference on the playing of the game every 4 years to assess the state of the game at the High performance level
- Provide access to Rugby participation programmes to introduce players to the game eg Tag, Touch, 7's etc
- Train more coaches and referees worldwide
- Making education and training resources available to coaches, players, referees and teachers
- Work with Regional Development Managers (RDM's) to to create awareness of Education and Training programmes
- Developing officiating accreditation courses
- Developing coaching accreditation courses
- Developing other Education and Training programmes
- Liaise with Unions in the development of products
- Utilise the services of leading unions to develop and deliver IRB programmes
- Using available and relevant technology to provide and deliver Education and training products
